It was a meeting day.
Reminded me of sugar in the morning, sugar in the evening, sugar at suppertime.
Be my little sugar and meet me all the time.
I have a definite bias towards meetings.
Only my opinion, of course….
If a meeting lasts more than an hour, people get ants in their pants.
A meeting benefits from a leader, but needs participation.
If a meeting has too many people attending, it is not a meeting. It is a lecture.
Meetings need to have a clearly stated purpose.
Too many (or too few) people in a meeting can be overwhelming.
Asking for opinions may or may not be a good thing.
Asking for suggestions is better.
Have a little fun.
And don’t sugar coat problems.
Most people will rise to the occasion), if they are faced with the truth.
Summarize the outcome, make the notes public, take photos (share them), and recognize those who contributed.
Some are good.
Some are awful.
Just make sure that the time you meet is well spent.
Before you leave, ask for feedback. Written… or oral. Just ask.
