Up most of the night, with the TV on, listening to the race for the presidency.

Grown men and a woman, so hungry for the prize that they will find one another’s weaknesses and feed on them.

Anything, to avoid the issues of the day.

Threatening law suits, violence, exposure… .

“You ain’t seen nothing yet.”

Millions of dollars spent daily, to feed the egos of a few.

Who in their right mind would want to be president in this culture?

What is it that drives these people?

Who can withstand the daily harassment in the fish bowl, waiting for you to make a mistake, and to publicize it instantly, making it the viral goof of the day?

Listen to them:  They usually start their rhetoric with one word:  “I”.

They want us to believe that they can change things, that they have the power and the know how to make it happen….. all by themselves.

Those of us who have been around for awhile, know that a great leader doesn’t do it alone.

A great leader doesn’t degrade others.

A great leader inspires, provides direction, and welcomes diversity to find solutions.

A great leader doesn’t just do “deals.”

A great leader finds common ground, asks for advice, listening to the voices of all people.

A great leader doesn’t exclude those who are different.

A great leader doesn’t pretend to know it all.

A great leader may be wealthy, but shares that wealth, not for his own advantage, but for those who are suffering, those who have not been as fortunate.

A great leader doesn’t boast, using his personal wealth and advantage to bully those who don’t agree with him.

Last night, I saw a different side of America.

I saw angry people, looking for a savior, to right the wrongs of our society.

People who are fed up with the way things are going, believing that others are to blame for the state of our union.

If you disagree, if you decide to dissent, you are going to be hurt, sued or killed.

We need to be tough, to fight, to engage in war, against these evil forces, and above all, to win.

Win what?

Be careful, America, what you wish for.

More importantly, be careful who you vote for.

Our destiny and freedom is at stake.
