Early morning breakfast with friends.
It’s been over 13 years ago that we worked together.
We have gone our separate ways.
Each is individually unique.
The overarching bond: We like one another.
Long ago and far away: The memories of the job lingers.
But we rarely refer to it.
As the years pass, we seem to have grown closer.
Our dialogue focuses on family, friends, health, pets, and just about anything else that comes to mind.
It is a friendly, happy reunion, each time we get together.
Good friends have a common bond:
We pick up where we left off, the last time we met.
And it is such a comforting feeling.
13 + years.
New jobs, retirements, operations, losses, vacations, you name it.
We have experienced it.
And we share, once a month, on a Saturday, at 830am, at the Cracker Barrel.
Love you Sue, Susie, Denise, Andra and Diane.
See you next month.
