If everyday was a holiday, would it be so special?

Hey everyone!

Thank goodness it is Tuesday and we are back to work!

(Groan, sigh, puking)

Ok, so we are here, the beginning of another year, to do it all over again.

Comments from the peanut gallery:

“Another year?  Can we just do one day at a time?”

“I really can’t wait for July 5th, when I will be retiring.”

“Today was everything I thought it would be:  I don’t know how long I can take this.”

Ok, gang!

Let’s face it.

When the holidays are here and we have time off, to celebrate, we cherish every moment.

Reluctantly, we trudge back to work.

By tomorrow or Thursday, all of the magic will disperse and we will be back in the swing of things:  Doing the jobs we all love to do.

Oh, yes, some of us don’t exactly love our jobs.

My advice to them:  Do something else.

Life is short, and the holidays are few and far between.

Oh, you can work like crazy, getting overtime, to pay for the special events in your life.

If that is your thing, ok.

However, my special events happen almost every day.

There is nothing like the friendship, respect and admiration of working with others on a day to day basis.

It is my second family.

Ok, maybe my first family.

Whatever it is, it is how I spend my time.

I guess I could retire.

I am old.

Well, who cares how old I am?

I don’t.

I am happy being a productive old ho.

I had a good day today.

I hope you did.

Let’s do it all over again tomorrow, if we are fortunate to be alive, on this planet,  on Wednesday, Jan 4, 2017.
