A chance encounter with a stranger….
Maybe 18 months ago.
I really did not know if this was someone who would be a friend of mine, or not.
As the months passed, and our lives intersected, so to speak, now this crazy, lovely lady is a friend of mine.
We have decided that the holidays are the loneliest time of the year, for those who have no family, the elderly, the poor, the homeless.
We will be on a mission, the two of us goofs, to raise awareness and money, to serve those who have no one on Christmas.
Oh you can find the halls filled with volunteers on Thanksgiving, celebrating the day with turkey, cranberries, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie.
Not so, on Christmas.
So these two unlikely friends are reaching out to our community to find a way to celebrate Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for those who would otherwise be alone.
In search of a family….. those who care, and those who share.
To bring together those who would love to join our quest, and to bring joy and hope to others, and to ourselves.
