After a 4 day hiatus, it was time to get back on track.
Dizzy and weak, the chx b put on her red shoes and danced the blues.
That’s another story.
A great breakfast of dippy eggs and bacon, along with hash browns and coffee.
If you are not from Pennsylvania, do you know what dippy eggs are?
Those eggs defy reason, unless of course, you have sour dough bread, and then, you dip yourself into oblivion.
Feeling somewhat more alive, it was time to join friends for an evening of celebration.
Do not ask me what we celebrated.
It didn’t matter.
It was, in fact, another manic moment.
Cheers to all who attended.
Love you all!
There is nothing more comforting than being with friends.
It’s been said that “things” come in 3’s.
Like the 3 stooges.
How about the 3rd time is a charm?
There is the 3 dog night, the triple crown, 3 strikes and you’re out, and 3 coins in a fountain.
For me, it’s my 3rd day of hibernation, recuperating from leprosy or the bubonic plaque or whatever this ridiculous bug is.
I have watched 3 of my favorite movies, in the past 3 days: A few Good Men, My Cousin Vinny and Airplane.
I am waiting to burst out of this cocoon, emerging as a butterfly with a resting bitch face.
And when I do, I am going to search for a 4 leaf clover.
I am done with the 3’s.
Hobbling around like an old lady.
I am old.
Did I say hobble?
Remember that movie, Misery, with Kathy Bates?
I have not used that word since I saw that movie, until today.
It used to be my knee.
Someone must have hobbled me big time.
Since I am disabled, and it is a gloomy day, I wil rest again.
3rd day in a row.
I won’t hobble around until the sun comes up and puts vitamin D back in my life.
Stomach bug bit the chicken butt.
Yes, on the hind end.
No breakfast club today for this spring chicken…. make that a winter chicken.
Another day of rest and TV.
It ruflles my feathers to not feel well.
When and if anything exciting or non exciting happens, it will appear on this “Guess What?” ridiculous blog.
Until then, cheers! (This time with tea)
On this hump day, in April, I needed to get back in my routine.
It had been several days away from my familiar peeps.
I missed the good old boys.
And the not so good old boys.
As the day progressed, somehow I became sillier and sillier and had a raucous, hilarious time.
It was one of those magical days.
Do not sweat the small stuff.
If it isn’t life threatening, consider it an inconvenience.
Enjoy the company of others.
It’s ok to say whatever comes to your mind, among friends.
And when you say goodbye, you know that you will soon say hello again.
Do you know those who have reinvented themselves?
Not just once, but as they change?
It is difficult to believe that people do not change over the years.
Marriages disintegrate when this happens.
Some choose an alternative life style.
Well, they remember what was once their passion, living out their lives, forfeiting their dreams.
It takes a courageous person to embrace a dream, to sacrifice comfort, and to find their purpose in this life, in spite of the consequences.
It’s not for the faint of heart, or for those who prefer not to upset the apple cart.
However, if you admire those who have lived their lives pursuing their dreams, and you believe in possibilities, just do it.
No one lives forever.
But their legacies serve as an inspiration to all of us.
No fanfare, no grandstanding.
Just a life with purpose.
If you can dream it, you can do it.
Sissy: “Let’s do an adventure.”
That was all it took.
From that moment on, it was all holds barred.
Not that we traveled very far.
Oh, yes, we had planned to do something crazy, but…..
We hung out with Pam, Lisa and Dana, and the rest of the regulars who make life interesting.
Who can leave when the atmosphere is ripe for telling hilarious stories?
Happiness is often found right around the corner or in your backyard.
Thanks to all for a wonderful afternoon!!!
Absolutley a fabulous Easter.
Just friends enjoying a great meal and finding one of the most comfortable, cozy and friendly places for an after dinner drink.
What an experience!!
Saturday, in the park, I think it was the 20th of April.
Yes, it is my birthday today.
Well, sort of.
I decided to change my birthday to 4/20.
Let the celebration begin!
And it did.
Such a fun day, filled with craziness, conversation and commaradery.
One of my all time favorite days of the year.
Thanks to all who crossed my path.
It was a very good day!!
A Friday that transcends the sublime.
Kait and Shannon: Unbelievable.
The two of them?
Friends, gardens and chickens.
Open to possibilities, while they experience a new world.
All it takes?
Let it happen.
An option., but not a destination.
Keep on keeping on.
Our future is in your hands.
